Now in it’s fifth iteration, the MFA Now project provides a platform for looking at Bay Area artists and institutions in order to promote dialogue between programs and to archive current art-making practices and models.
Featuring the work of candidates at California College of the Arts, Mills College, San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, Davis, and Santa Cruz, the MFA Now Project includes a juried exhibition, archive publication and slide-slam.
The Slide Slam offers an opportunity for professional development in which emerging artists gain exposure and meet and interact with audiences. It also allows for the community to gain further insight into the work of up and coming local artists.
