Benny is an interdisciplinary artist and educator working primarily in the mediums of painting, drawing, and photography. They just received their BA (2021) in Art Practice and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a concentration in Queer Theory from Stanford Universiy. Benny joins Root Division as the Youth Education Coordinator and is deeply passionate about making arts education accessible. Benny was born in San Francisco(traditional Ramaytush land) and grew up in the Bay Area(traditional Muwekma Ohlone land) and hopes to continue to foster an arts community that centers marginalized voices and the stories they have to tell.
