2018 Summer Youth Studios

Explore different ways of making magic through art in this mixed media art class! Join your fellow art-magicians to create your own enchanted world through sculpture, performance, painting, textiles, pottery and animation. Each day will teach important creative skills like creature-making, potions, fortune-telling, and spell casting. Become a master magician through art! All materials are provided.

Make a short video that can loop and repeat forever! In this one-week workshop, you’ll learn skills from pre- to post-production, writing scripts, scores, and shot lists to drawing out storyboards, shooting on camera, editing, and making gifs out of your footage. We’ll investigate various camera techniques and cover the basics of Adobe Premiere.

Love taking pictures and videos of yourself, your friends, your family, and your surroundings? Selfies and video portraits are an art form. Learn how to shoot, record, edit, and compile these into short narratives and documentaries. This one-week workshop will cover video performance, audio recording, and documentary video editing using Adobe Premiere and smartphone apps. (Yes, you can use your phone in this class!)
