Art Auction 2020

Root Division remains committed to supporting a diversity of artists at various stages of their careers. This year, our Annual Art Auction remains pivotal in our capacity to fund our Studios Program, as well as our ability to provide free youth art education throughout San Francisco. For our Auction’s 19th iteration, we invite you to join us virtually for Root Division’s largest annual fundraising event —  collect art, support arts education, and be inspired by artists! We are proud to feature an eclectic mix of high quality artwork from over 100 established and emerging Bay Area artists, including a great selection of rising stars! Proceeds benefit local artists, free art classes for Bay Area youth, and the continued success of Root Division’s unique model for keeping artists working in the heart of San Francisco. 

This year, things will look very different…We’ll still be installing artwork in the gallery for appointment viewings, but the bidding will be online and the “live” event will be virtual. For general admission, all are welcome to join for no cost. We encourage those who are able to use what would have been their ticket cost towards bidding and direct donations to our Studio Artists. 

From $20 donations and bids on small works on paper to Host Level packages and purchases of larger pieces — every level of support will make a vital impact this year!
