Bio
Vi El received a BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Within their work, El explores inner turmoil and mental health through self portraiture utilizing photo based mixed media and wax in order to portray a feeling of melancholic nostalgia.
Artist Statement
I make photo based narratives encompassed in wax using primarily myself to create said narratives. My work has for the most part dealt with my mental health and general state of being but now I've moved into more of a spiritual route dabbling in higher self concepts.
