Teaching Art to Youth
How can teaching artists support young people in their progression towards becoming healthy adults? This workshop is designed for new and experienced arts educators who want to further incorporate youth development values into their curriculum. We will explore the main tenets of this facilitation framework and apply specific techniques to actual classroom scenarios. Teaching artists will come to this workshop with a creative project in mind and leave with the tools to create an enriched curriculum embedded with youth development values.
