Venue: 1131 Mission Street
Illuminated Paper City
Celebrate the winter season with a traditional holiday craft made with a twist! In this class, you will make an illuminated decorative model based on a classic San Francisco Victorian house. Step by step, you will learn how to craft this model inspired by the techniques and materials of mid-century, Japanese-made holiday villages. At the end of the workshop, you will receive alterable patterns enabling you to design your own holiday house. You will also have the opportunity to add your creation to a community installation at Root Division that will combine participants’ projects into a village display. All materials, including homemade marshmallows and hot chocolate, will be provided. Be sure to bring your holiday tunes!
