SU 2020 – Acrylic Painting: Intermediate Workshop

Venue: 1131 Mission Street

Acrylic Painting: Intermediate Workshop

This two-session virtual class is a continuation of Acrylic 101. You are familiar with the basics and you are ready to dive further into the world of painting. Each virtual class will begin with a demonstration of different techniques in acrylic paint such as scumbling, layering, glazing, etc. The remaining class time will be dedicated for your personal project. The instructor will answer any questions or help you troubleshoot any challenges that you may come across in creating your masterpiece. Completion of Acrylic 101 or an equivalent course is a prerequisite for enrollment.

Instructor: Joyce Nojima, MFA

Dates: 2 class meetings / Wednesdays, August 19, 26

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Tuition: $90

*Sections A, B, and C are the same level and general course content. They occur on different dates and may have different instructors.

In response to the current COVID-19 situation, we require that all persons continue to wear masks at all times when in the Root Division space. For the safety of our students, artists, and extended community, we also require all students to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination (or same-day negative test results) for entry to classes held indoors at Root Division.

You may bring a physical copy of your vaccination card or via digital download through the State of California Digital Vaccine Record Portal here. (You may also provide a negative test result taken before each class session. Please contact us with any questions about the types of test results accepted.)

We ask this as a show of community care and a move towards continued safety while gathering in-person.
